1. What is "Sign Language"?

A method used to communicate with deaf-mute people

2. Is Sign Language uiversal?

As for ow Sig laguage is ot uiversal but may sigs are very similar or belong to families of signs, just linkethere are languages that belong to the same family such as:

   -  the roman languages that include: english, french, italian,
   - slovic languages that include: Serbian language, bulgarian, russian etc..
   - sino-tibetian languages that include : cantonese, mandarin
   - afro-asiatic family that include: Arabic, Amharic, Somali, Hebrew
   - Bantu family that include: swahili, Zulu, Zola,
   - etc.

But there is a so called Universal Language called : Esperanto, but it is more written than spoken.

Here are the links to the alphabet of American Sign Languages, the same I provided last week before my presentation.

My main question is:

Can we expect to have a universal Sign Language soon?

Your input will be very appreciated.

It is obvious that there are a few signs that seem to be universal already.
Such signs are :
1. Waving Goodbye
2. Streching out hands to a baby, he/she automatically knows that you want to carry him/her for a rock or a hug.
3. etc..

Thank you for your input!!
Sincerely,
